WHAT IS A FRAGRANCE FAMILY?
Fragrances Families are a longstanding classification system in the fragrance industry, placing each fragrance in an olfactory group based on the dominate fragrance notes.
As fragrances get more complex, classifying gets difficult. However, this is a high-level way to organize and find the fragrances you like! Below are the Voluspa Fragrance Families, and the fragrances we love from each.
Floral Fragrances can range from fresh, fruity, or classic florals. A fresh cut bouquet of endless opportunity. These fragrances are centered around a single floral note or blooming with many.
Earth lovers tend to frolic in the green category. Green fragrances are often warm, sunny and earthy aromas. These fresh, aromatic facets are derived from grasses, herbs, snapped leaves and vegetables.
Citrus and Fruits are a Voluspa fan favorite. These fragrances tend to be sparkling, uplifting, sunny and succulent. Citrus/Fruity will refresh a room and bring a smile to your face with its juicy depth and fragrance throw.
Rich, sweet and spicy fragrances that evoke warmth and comfort. Often a flash traditional or exotic spices including cinnamon, cloves, amber, resin and incense. Spice notes are often paired with gourmand or woody notes.
