What you burn in your home is worth knowing well. So, are Voluspa candles safe? Our candles are formulated with a proprietary coconut wax blend and carefully sourced fragrance ingredients, with natural, no-lead wicks and no phthalates. Wax, wick, and scent, considered down to the last detail.
Candle safety has become noisy territory online. We'd rather answer plainly than add to it. Here's what goes into a Voluspa candle, why it's formulated that way, and how it holds up against the rest of the category. Interested in learning more? Explore our ingredients page.
Coconut wax blend. Our proprietary blend is free of lead and phthalates, sourced from coconut trees that never need to be cut down, with low water and chemical input, and from a fruit crop that leaves no waste behind.
Fragrance oils. Our scents blend natural ingredients with perfume-quality synthetics, deliberately. Synthetics keep allergen profiles consistent and ease pressure on the over-harvesting of endangered natural ingredients.
Wick. Pure natural cotton, lead-free with no metal core, chosen for a steady, smoke-free burn.
Vessel. Each candle comes in a vessel meant to outlast the wax, ready for a second life as a keepsake, planter, or catch-all.
Our coconut blend burns cooler and slower than other types of blends, producing less soot, a clearer burn, and a strong, even scent throw.
